Margaret E. Nelson set aside part of her estate to be used for this scholarship in her memory and that of Grace A. Kembel.
Award Requirements
The Margaret E. Nelson and Grace A. Kembel Scholarship fund shall be used to provide several scholarships annually to undergraduate students in the College of Agriculture and Home Economics. The awards will be designated for students within the Department of Human Development who have a sophomore class standing or higher. Preference will be given to students having high academic achievement, who show evidence of leadership, and who have demonstrated a desire and ability to help those in need.
