Deboch, Tesfaye Girma Memorial Graduate Fellowship

Tesfaye Girma Deboch was a fourth year graduate student in Economics when he tragically died while attending a professional conference.  He received an AS degree in Economics in May 2008 from Western Wyoming Community College and a BS degree in Economics in May 2010 from the University of Wyoming.  He was expecting to graduate from WSU with his PhD in Economics and an MS in Statistics in 2014.  The PhD degree was awarded posthumously in December 2013. Tesfaye was a wonderful teacher and friend and will be missed by his professors and fellow students.

Award requirments:

Fellowships for graduate students studying in the School of Economics, with priority to students working on an important developing country research topic and preparing research for presentation at a major professional conference.
