Deck, Errett Fellowship

A strong belief in the value of higher education lead Errett and Evelyn Lund Deck to create scholarships in agriculture and communications.  Errett graduated in 1938 with a major in Chemistry and earned a master’s degree in 1945 with a major in Agronomy.  Errett drafted federal and state agricultural chemical legislation in his 20 years with the Washington State Department of Agriculture.  He served on numerous advisory committees to EPA and received several national awards.

Award requirements:

Graduate Fellowships for students as well as research to develop agricultural practices that will protect and promote production agriculture through effective pest control so that Washington farmers can compete in world markets.
