Kyle and Jan Mathison have a rich background both in agriculture and with WSU. They reside in the Wenatchee area where they are orchardists, viticulturists, and wine makers. Kyle and Jan both have a long family history with WSU. Kyle is a second generation Cougar and Jan is the third generation of women to graduate from WSU in her family. They have three children, West, Tate, and Susan. Susan carried on the tradition established in Jan’s family by becoming the fourth generation of women to graduate from WSU.
To honor the legacy of their family, and to provide opportunities for future WSU students, Jan and Kyle Mathison have established this scholarship for students pursuing degrees in horticulture, viticulture, and enology.
