Harold Nyberg was born and raised in Hoquiam, WA. His parents came from Sweden. He was one of five children and the only one to attend college. He worked his way through WSC (WSU) in Forestry. Upon graduation, he took a job with the United States Forest Service. He spent his entire career as a Forest Ranger in various districts of the forest service in Washington and Oregon. He retired in 1969.
The distributions from this fund shall be used to provide one or more scholarships to students in the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences, with a preference to students studying Natural Resource Sciences or Ecosystems Sciences and Management.
