Michel Memorial Scholarship

John Michel is the son of Henry and Celia Michel. John graduated from WSU in 1953. He majored in Business Administration from the College of Business and economics. Celia and Henry both graduated from WSU in 1924. Celia majored in Home Economics and Henry majored in Mechanical Engineering. Through his Will, John created a scholarship endowment in memory of his parents. The endowment was to rotate between the College of Agriculture and Home Economics and the College of Engineering and Architecture. Due to the growth of the endowment, it is now being split into two endowments in order to fund scholarships in each college every year.

Award Requirements

The income from this fund shall be used to award scholarships to one or more Washington State University students seeking a degree in one of the various fields of Home Economics, selected according to the criteria established by the College of Agriculture and Home Economics.
