Research at Washington State University’s Eggert Family Organic Farm is hitting its stride in the farm’s second year at its new location.
See how at the farm’s annual field day, starting at 8 a.m. Thursday, July 28.
“We are starting to realize the potential of our new site,” said farm manager and instructor Brad Jaeckel.
Eggert Farm moved from WSU’s Tukey Orchard in 2014 to a new, 30-acre site closer to the center of campus.

Learn about the latest organic agriculture research and hands-on teaching methods at the Organic Farm Field Day, Thursday, July 30, at Eggert Family Organic Farm on the Washington State University campus.
The event is free and open to the public. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Presentations by students working at the Eggert Farm, Farm Manager Brad Jaeckel, and WSU Faculty member Lynne Carpenter-Boggs follow at 8:30 a.m., with a tour of the farm afterwards.
Light refreshments will be served and visitors are welcome to visit the gardens.
