ThermoFinnigan Delta V Plus IRMS with TC/EA

irms_tc-eaThe GeoAnalytical Laboratory has recently installed a new ThermoFinnigan Delta V Plus gas source isotope ratio mass spectrometer with a high temperature conversion elemental analyzer (TC/EA) and a continuous flow gas bench.  The instrument includes and HD collector with two Faraday cups.  This facility provides precise analyses of H isotope ratios of liquid and solid geologic materials, as well as O isotope ratios of natural waters, and C and O isotope ratios of carbonate minerals.

irms03We do not currently provide light stable isotope ratio analyses as a service, but special projects and/or access to the instrument can be arranged through Dr. Peter Larson.
