The College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) leads Washington State University’s land grant mission to serve all people through education, research, and service.

Our Focus


With 22 majors, 19 minors, and 27 graduate programs, the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences is one of the largest and most innovative colleges at WSU.


In fiscal year 2023, CAHNRS expended more than $101 million in extramural funding. Our College accounts for close to 40% of all WSU extramural spending.

WSU Extension resources support ag workers’ mental health

To address high suicide rates in the ag field, Washington State University Extension is supporting the mental health of thousands of agricultural workers statewide through services, programming, and one-on-one financial counseling.
