Get to Know Kalyssa:

Why WSU:

I chose WSU because it is a true college town, and there is a big emphasis on the social aspect. Everyone is down to hang out with each other at any given moment and we all support each other whether it be academically or emotionally.

Favorite Spot on Campus:

My favorite spot has to be the AAPISC (Asian American Pacific Islander Student Center) on the 4th floor of the CUB. I go there to hang with friends, eat lunch, do homework, and to pass time in between my classes.

Advice for Underclassmen:

My advice to underclassmen is to really explore your options and try things that you have not done before. Go out of your comfort zone and join new clubs, organizations, take interesting classes, and everything else that you want to do. College is a place to solely focus on developing yourself and success, so you should take advantage of all the resources that surround you.

One Thing You Couldn’t Live Without:

Something that I could not live without during the school year is my airpods. I love being able to listen to music while walking to class. Depending on my mood I will play songs to wake me up in the morning on the way to campus, or to relax me when I leave after a long day of classes/work.
