Favorite Class at WSU:

Animal Science 166! Young horse handling has been my favorite class by far because it is a fully hands on class where we work with a horse every week for the full semester. Angie (the instructor) is so nice and passionate about horses and equine sciences as a whole.

What is special about being a CAHNRS Coug?

Being a CAHNRS Coug has given me so opportunities to grow and learn. Each professor I have had is extremely passionate about the content they are teaching and they all want their students to succeed. I have also made so many amazing connections through CAHNRS whether that be with fellow students, professors, or advisors, that I will cherish for the rest of my life!

Why should a prospective student choose a CAHNRS major?

The opportunities available to CAHNRS students are so amazing as well as the plethora of hands on learning there is in our college. Being able to see things first hand in an academic setting is extremely helpful for ones learning process, and CAHNRS majors have classes like this already incorporated into the degree program. Along those same lines, we receive a lot of information about internships related to our majors that are just some incredible opportunities.
