Places to search for jobs and grants

Viticulture and Enology students (both grads and undergrads) should check the V&E web site’s jobs section for summer internships as well as full-time employment opportunities.

AgCareers is a frequently updated site that lists many jobs in agriculture–from the field to the office to the lab.

Academic Keys for Agriculture lists many jobs for academics, recent graduates, as well as internships.

Academic Careers Online – a wide range of jobs, from administrative to research.

Future of Horticultural Science within Academia – a “forum to provide horticultural science professionals around the world with a convenient way to share their thoughts on the issue” of the decline of horticulture in universities.

NatureJobs lists many opportunities in the sciences.

The North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture website is continually updating its jobs postings.

The Washington Association of Agricultural Educators frequently updates job postings for teaching and other related positions.

Many state and county Cooperative Extension offices list their employment needs.

There’s also the National Job Bank with positions in Extension, Outreach, Research and Higher Education.

Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service list a number of open positions on its Jobs and Opportunities pages.

The USDA’s Agricultural Research Service site has a jobs listing service as well as a listing of opportunities for postdoctoral research associates.
