Hulbert Computer Lab Schedules

image

The Hulbert computer labs are available for individual student use for all CAHNRS students, other students enrolled in CAHNRS courses, and those taking any other courses that hold scheduled classes in the labs.

The main computer lab in Hulbert 5 has 26 individual Windows 10 computers available for student use and the computer lab in Hulbert 21 has 12 additional computers. Each computer is equipped with a variety of different software including statistical programs such as STATA 14 and SAS, as well as other software for specific courses. Both labs are located on the ground floor of Hulbert Hall.

Other resources in the lab include a projector and a Coug Prints printer/copier. The printer is connected to computers in both Hulbert labs, 5 and 21, and the cost of printing is $.10 per page. Printing requires the use of one’s Cougar card to pay for prints and copies.

Classes are held in each of the Hulbert computer labs throughout the day. Schedules are posted outside of each lab for students to refer to as well as here, under ‘Lab Class Schedules.’

General lab hours are posted here and in each of the labs. Labs are sometimes open outside of general hours, but only for scheduled classes.

Campus Safety

It is important that all faculty and students are familiar with campus safety and emergency management. Instructors should provide students with links for university websites that provide such information, including those found below.

Campus Safety Plan

University Emergency Management

WSU Alert

Faculty are encouraged to include these links in course syllabi and on course websites as well as discuss them in class.

Faculty and students should also register their emergency contact information for the Crisis Communication System (CCS) on My.WSU. Once logged into My.WSU, find the ‘Pullman Emergency Information’ box and click ‘Update Now.’

The Facilities

The Hulbert Hall Computer Instructional Laboratories are administered by the College of Agriculture, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences for the benefit of all Departments within the College. The ground floor of Hulbert Hall houses two college computer instructional labs and can be scheduled for instruction and other purposes. The computer lab located in room 5 is a 25 student workstation facility with an additional workstation for instructors, which is connected to an overhead projection system. The computer lab located in room 21 is an 11 workstation facility with an additional workstation for instructors, which is also connected to an overhead projection system. The projectors in both computer labs can be connected to an instructor’s laptop for projection.

Scheduling Protocol and Procedures

The Hulbert Computer Instructional Laboratories are departmental run labs and so all scheduling requests must be made to and approved by the existing lab manager. Scheduling priority will be afforded first to courses taught within the College of Agriculture, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS). The labs are available to be scheduled by courses not affiliated with CAHNRS on a first come, first serve basis so long as the requested time period does not conflict with an existing or future CAHNRS course.
