In this hands-on major, students gain a science-based overview of agriculture and food systems, with an emphasis on the practical application of technology to agricultural production systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program combines students\u2019 inherent creativity and interest in physical and biological sciences, technology, mathematics, business, and related subjects with their desire to develop innovative solutions to a variety of agricultural challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AFS Degree<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Agricultural and Food Systems (AFS) <\/strong>degree focuses on vital aspects of food systems ranging from plant and animal production to agricultural markets, sustainability, and access to healthy food. In AFS, you will learn the science informing practice, policy, and consumer behavior in a wide range of careers in agriculture and food systems.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n
