Lawrence soon discovered the farm had &#8220;considerable indebtedness&#8221;. Bob farmed in the Latah and Whitman County area for decades. This scholarship will allow generations of WSU students to be supported and inspired to keep innovating in agriculture. Scholarship<\/a> \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJohn Cleve Borth graduated from WSU in 1957. His major was Agricultural Economics so he has an interest in supporting those who choose to study the field of economics and agricultural economics.&nbsp; Judith also attended WSU, as have all of their four children and three of their grandchildren. George managed an orchard for fifty years in Pennsylvania. He would visit his Son, Philip, who settled in Washington and travel Eastern Washington together. During those trips, George delighted in seeing the Washington State University Research Orchards and [&hellip;]\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wsu-meta-date\"><time>February 27, 2023<\/time><\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\r\n\t\t\t<li>\r\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/alumni.cahnrs.wsu.edu\/levinskas-dave-scholarship-in-viticulture-and-enology\/\">Levinskas, Dave Scholarship in Viticulture and Enology<\/a> \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDave has a passion for wine and enjoys supporting local students at Washington State University. Award Requirements The principal of this Fund shall be used for two (2) graduate scholarships (Masters), including tuition, books, and fees, to be awarded based on financial need, to one male student and one female student enrolled in the Viticulture [&hellip;]\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wsu-meta-date\"><time>February 27, 2023<\/time><\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\r\n\t\t\t<li>\r\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/alumni.cahnrs.wsu.edu\/brown-harold-r-graduate-education-fund\/\">Brown, Harold R. Graduate Education Fund<\/a> \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHarold Brown was a successful businessman who wanted to give back to society through the foundation he created. Food security and production were causes that were important to him because of the work done by his nephew, Professor Timothy D. Murray. Providing opportunities for students to advance their education in plant pathology will help enable [&hellip;]\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wsu-meta-date\"><time>February 27, 2023<\/time><\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\r\n\t\t\t<li>\r\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/alumni.cahnrs.wsu.edu\/koenig-family-scholarship\/\">Koenig Family Scholarship<\/a> \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThis scholarship was created by colleagues and friends of Rich Koenig, his wife Teresa, and son Nicholas, in appreciation of Rich\u2019s leadership in the role of Interim Dean and his willingness to step into roles as needed for CAHNRS. Staley, the current President, and CEO of Belco Forest Products. Belco was founded in 1978 by John Staley and has been operated by the Staley family since. Max attended WSU and pursued a degree in Apparel, Merchandising, Design &amp; Textiles (AMDT), with an emphasis in merchandising. Max loved fashion and saw his future through the AMDT degree. While his career took another path, the study of the Earth&#8217;s natural resources remains a priority. David and Kay Picha established this scholarship to help the next generation of students as they pursue the same education. From the obituary (March 20, 2015) of Carolyn Mae Peters: Carolyn graduated from WSU in 1951 with a major in horticulture and minors in psychology and Far Eastern history. A talented violinist, she played in many orchestral groups [&hellip;]\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wsu-meta-date\"><time>October 28, 2022<\/time><\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\r\n\t\t\t<li>\r\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/alumni.cahnrs.wsu.edu\/davis-robert-ray-scholarship-in-agriculture\/\">Davis, Robert Ray Scholarship in Agriculture<\/a> \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Robert Ray Davis Scholarship is established to honor the life of Robert &#8220;Bob&#8221; Davis. Bob had a rich agricultural heritage, starting on the family farm on McKinley Road where he lived for over 20 years. He attended Wapato schools throughout his pre-college days. Bob was active in Future Farmers of America in Wapato, where [&hellip;]\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wsu-meta-date\"><time>July 26, 2022<\/time><\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\r\n\t\t\t<li>\r\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/alumni.cahnrs.wsu.edu\/felloni-giorgio-and-luisa-ses-fellowship\/\">Felloni, Giorgio and Luisa SES Fellowship<\/a> \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFabrizio Felloni established this fellowship in honor of his parent, Giorgio and Luisa Felloni. Kim studied poultry nutrition under Dr. James McGinnis, received a Ph. D. in 1974 and worked for Foster Farms for 33 years as a nutritionist. Young graduated DMV class of 1973.\u00a0 They met through a Korean students group. Award Requirements Scholarships will be awarded to students in Animal Sciences. \u00a0 * When making [&hellip;]\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wsu-meta-date\"><time>February 15, 2022<\/time><\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\r\n\t\t\t<li>\r\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/alumni.cahnrs.wsu.edu\/simpson-richard-and-margaret-memorial-scholarship\/\">Simpson, Richard and Margaret Memorial Scholarship<\/a> \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRichard and Margaret Simpson farmed in Edwall, Washington for more than 50 years. Richard, born in 1927, was farming the same land his maternal grandparents had acquired in the early 1900&#8217;s. He experienced the changing of times in farming techniques, from horse farming through the evolution of farm equipment into the new century. With four daughters, they have a special interest in encouraging women to pursue university degrees. Loretta has two brothers, Russell and Douglas Salvadalena, who both graduated from the College of Agriculture and Home Economics. He graduated in 1916 and then attended Washington State College for one year. He was needed at home to help with the farm, so he dropped out of school and in 1919 he married an [&hellip;]\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wsu-meta-date\"><time>March 1, 2013<\/time><\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\r\n\t\t\t<li>\r\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/alumni.cahnrs.wsu.edu\/carl-p-and-barbara-r-becker-scholarship\/\">Becker, Carl P. and Barbara R. Scholarship<\/a> \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBarbara Robinson Becker graduated from WSU in 1942 with a degree in Home Economics. She was the first in her family to get a college degree. While at WSU she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and she maintained ties with the sorority for many years.
