Nagel, Charles W. Scholarship

This scholarship has been created by funds donated by industry, family and friends for the purpose of honoring Dr. Charles W. Nagel. Dr. Charles W. Nagel, commonly known as Chas Nagel, was employed in the Department of Food Science at Washington State University until 1993. He received degrees from the University of California and joined the faculty of Washington State University as a horticulturist in about 1960. Almost from the onset, his work at WSU included studies of aspects of wine production, which he continued for the next three decades.

Award Requirements

Distributions from this Fund shall be used to award one or more scholarships to students with an interest in enology only with a minimum grade point of average of 2.5.  Recipients shall be of junior, senior or graduate student status.
