This fund is in honor of Arvid Monson, founder of Goose Ridge Vineyard & Estate Winery. Good Ridge is an estate winery dedicated to handcrafting exquisite wines from grapes grown on their 2,200 acre vineyard. With three generations of diversified agriculture in the Columbia Valley, the Monson family believes that great wines start in the vineyard. The Monson family is dedicated to supporting wine education through the WSU V&E Program and this scholarship ensures support in Arvid’s name moving forward.
Award Requirements
The distributions from this Fund shall be used to provide an annual scholarship to a Washington State University student, according to the following criteria:
- Student is seeking a degree in the Viticulture and Enology Program.
- Student maintains the minimum GPA the Viticulture and Enology Program requires.
- Preference should be given to Latino students from agricultural backgrounds.
