Jeff and Katie Rosman

Jeff and Katie were married on November 27, 1993 in Wilbur, Wash. Jeff is from the Wilbur-Creston area, and grew up on the family farm. Katie is from Palisades, Wash., but her father, Dave Odenrider (’71 Animal Sciences) grew up in Wilbur. Dave and his wife Linda Chase Odenrider (’69 Education) recently retired to the Wilbur area.

Since he graduated in 1991, Jeff has been working on the family dryland wheat farm and cattle ranch in Creston, Wash. He farms with his brother, Joe (’89 Agronomy) and his father, John. Jeff volunteers in the Wilbur and Creston communities, serving as director of the Wilbur Youth Sports Association, which is the local baseball, softball, and t-ball league for the community. He has been coaching in the league for the past seven years. He is the director of the Wilbur-Creston Little Dribbler Youth Basketball program, coaching now for eight years. For the past two years, he has been the assistant junior high school baseball coach for Wilbur-Creston and will continue coaching throughout the 2011 season.

Since graduating in 1993, Katie has been a full-time mom and farm wife. Six years ago, she went to work as a K-12 substitute teacher in the Wilbur and Creston School Districts. Katie is the Treasurer of the Wildcat Booster Club, which raises funds to support the local schools athletic and extracurricular programs. She assists Jeff with the paperwork associated with the youth baseball and basketball leagues. Much of her time is spent on the road chauffeuring their three sons to their various livestock and sporting events.

“Our family enjoys life on the farm, keeping up with our sons’ different activities, and enjoying the occasional WSU football game,” said Katie.

Jeff and Katie’s son J.D. is active in FFA, 4-H, and the Junior Angus Association of Washington, as well as being a Wilbur High School leader involved with the school’s associated student body. Brent is active in football, basketball, and baseball at Wilbur Junior High School, along with AAU baseball and basketball. He is a three-year WSU Baseball Camp veteran and three time recipient of the Top 20 and Top 15 Baseball Campers Awards. Matt is active in NFL Youth Flag Football, youth basketball and baseball, and a member of the Junior Angus Association of Washington, as well as a 4-H member. All three boys maintain A averages in school.
