Hillers, Joe K. Dairy Education Endowment

Dr. Joe K. Hillers was raised on a dairy in Iowa and devoted his life to the people of the Dairy Industry.  His most notable contributions were to the students of the Department of Animal Sciences at Washington State University and to the producers and other members of the Dairy Industry of the State of Washington.  His direct advisees and alumni number over 160 and many of these are leaders in the Dairy Industry worldwide.  He has developed the internationally known experiential learning program – CUDS (Cooperative University Dairy Students) whose alumni are also major contributors in the dairy industry.
