Congratulations to WSU Professor of Viticulture, Dr. Markus Keller.  His book, “The Science of Grapevines: Anatomy and Physiology” was recently translated into Chinese and published in China.

 

Viticulture and Enology Alumni Accept New Positions

Kyle Welch (’11 Horticulture) recently took over winemaking and cider production at Sun River Vintner’s/D’s Wicked Cider in Kennewick, Wash.  Kyle will also continue to oversee production for Longship Cellars and do custom crushing for clients beginning in the fall.

Joel Perez (’14 BS, ’16 MS Horticulture) was named the new director of viticulture at Walla Walla Community College.  In this role Joel will direct vineyard oversight, lead hands-on and classroom instruction, develop curriculum and maintain grower relations.
