WSU Fruit School – Pre-Harvest Field Day (Event 2 of 3)

The Honeycrisp Experience: Production, Harvest and Storage

Washington State University (WSU), the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission (WTFRC) and Washington State Horticultural Association (WSHA) are teaming up to present you with an opportunity to learn more about the horticultural practices and postharvest handling of the increasingly popular apple… the Honeycrisp. This educational opportunity will offer three events which will follow this apple through production, harvest and storage. Those who wish to attend will have a choice of three orchard locations: Royal City, Yakima and Brewster for the first two events.

Space is limited and registration required. The cost is $100 for all three events or $80 for the Research to Practice Workshop only. Register online at http://www.wahort.org/events.

Event 1:  Summer Field Day:  decisions made on establishment, production, irrigation, etc.
June 11 – Royal City
June 13 – Yakima
June 18 – Brewster

Event 2:  Pre-Harvest Field Day will return to the same locations in September during harvest.
September 10 – Royal City
September 12 – Yakima
September 17 – Brewster

Event 3: Post-Harvest Meeting will be a full day event that will take place December 5th following the WSHA Hort Convention in Wenatchee.
