Nutrient Recovery Technology Field Day
April 20 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Please join WSU and our commercial partners as we showcase two different technologies that capture nutrients from dairy manure to lessen environmental impacts. Both technologies allow for the recovered nutrients to then be responsibly land applied as recycled fertilizer according to crop demands. The NRCS Conservation Innovation Program has funded these two separate WSU projects to further examine these technologies and their sustainable applications benefiting both the environment and our state’s dairy farmers.
We encourage you to join us to tour the dissolved air floatation (DAF) and struvite fluidized bed technologies in the morning, followed by a lunch program featuring a 7 person panel of WSU researchers speaking about their additional manure nutrient recovery state-funded projects.
If you plan to attend, registration will be required to ensure you are included in lunch counts. Please visit the website to register (http://csanr.wsu.edu/nrtech-field-day/ ) and view the attached flyer for more information.
We hope that you will join WSU on April 20th to experience our advanced efforts in dairy nutrient recovery technologies as effective solutions in environmental and agricultural management in the state of Washington.
