Pear Irrigation (Virtual) Field Event

Agenda 3:00-3:30 pm – Virtual Field day presented through Zoom. 3:30-4:00 pm – Q&A with growers and researchers. Learn about the results of recent research with Dr Lee Kalcsits on irrigation in pears. Growers Larry and Renee Caudle and Brandon Long will share their experiences with irrigation system upgrades. Caudles installed a micro-system. to improve water infiltration and distribution in steep block with runoff and small fruit challenges in 2018. Brandon Long worked with irrigation set lengths determined by soil moisture in 2019. Irrigation sensor demos, Troy Peters, WSU Irrigation Specialist; Jac le Roux, Wilbur Ellis.
