Vaughn, Harold W. and Joanne N. Endowed Scholarship

Harold Vaughn graduated from WSU in 1949 with a degree in horticulture. While at WSU he lived in Stimson Hall. He recalls that the Palouse River flooded Pullman and he was among the students who were called upon to help fill sand bags and shovel dirt and sand to keep the flood waters from washing away mobile homes and other property in the flood plain. Following his graduation from WSU, Harold went into the insurance business in Clarkston, Washington. He remained in that business for over 40 years at the same location. Harold and his wife JoAnne have two sons, Bob and John, and several grandchildren. Harold made this gift at the time of his fiftieth class reunion in 1999.
