Maynard H. Jones earned his degree from the College of Agriculture at Washington State College in 1950. In 1951 he married Muriel Crites, and the two were married for 44 years, until Muriel’s death in 1995. Maynard worked for the USDA and the Farmer’s Home Administration and retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs after nearly 20 years.
Award Requirements
The Maynard H. Jones Scholarship Fund will be used to provide scholarships to students in the College of Agriculture and Home Economics, awarded on a yearly basis to a sophomore, junior, or senior, or graduate student of the College according to WSU Foundation endowment policies.
