Biography
Huiting Zhang joined Washington State University in 2022 as a postdoc on a joint appointment at the Ficklin lab at WSU and the Honaas lab at USDA ARS. She was promoted to Assistant Research Professor in 2025. She was promoted to Assistant Research Professor in 2025. Her current projects include: developing new biomarkers for pome fruit post-harvest risk assessment; creating novel tools for comparative genomics and genome annotation quality control; and performing functional genomic research on key pome fruit genes.
