Isha Chand

Biography

Isha completed her bachelor’s in agriculture from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. During her undergrad, she was involved in research aimed at overcoming the challenge of drought in maize cultivation. Her research interest lies in environmental-plant interaction, soil hydrological properties, and soil health. Eager to expand her knowledge and make a real-world impact, she recently joined Washington State University as an MS student in the soil science program. Under the supervision of Dr. Gabriel LaHue, she will be focusing on managing soil moisture and soil physical health. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes.
