Biography
Janel Poisson earned her bachelor’s in biology from Gonzaga University. She is a 500-hour certified yoga instructor and an avid gardener, fisher, and glassblower. A devoted dog mom, her teacup mini pinscher, Lola, is a cherished friend and lab mascot who brightens everyone’s day. In 2024, Janel joined the Sanguinet Lab to investigate the role of BUZZ CDK-like genes in pollen development, contributing to the understanding of molecular mechanisms in plant biology.
