- Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 2
Biography
Judy has been working at WSU’s Academic Success and Career Center for the last 9 years, leading Internship Development and Career Coaching. She received a B.A. in Human Development from WSU in 2013 and her M.A. in Health Services Counseling and Life Coaching from Liberty University in 2018. She loves to help students process their personal and work values to help them identify their vocational motivation and sense of life purpose—stemming from favorite quotes by Parker Palmer, where “true vocation joins self and service” and Frederick Buechner’s— “the place where your deep gladness meets the worlds deep need”.
Judy lives in Pullman, Washington, with her husband Gary. They’ve been married for more than four decades, and their four adult children and six grandchildren live on the West coast and in the UK. Judy has been invested in mentoring adolescents for decades. She thrives in truly collaborative environments, empowering and training student leaders, facilitating groups and networking with partners to synergistically move forward to meet strategic goals. From 2004 to 2008, Gary & Judy lived in Malawi, Africa, where they had the privilege of identifying and training national leaders on the principles and practices of a relational ministry called Young Life. This transformational experience has been a catalyst for leading multiple return trips.
Judy enjoys traveling, exploring culture and history– but also loves spending time with family and grandkids. Working out, biking, walks with friends, coffee dates, eating around a table of old & new friends and deep conversations are among her favorite things in life.
