Biography
Marija Savic has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Agriculture, department for Phytomedicine. After BS she completed an internship at University Nebraska Lincoln in Pesticide Application Technology Laboratory. In 2023 she got her master’s degree from Washington State University, department of Crop and Soil Sciences. In graduate school she worked as Research Assistant for weed scientist Dr. Drew Lyon and her research focused on chemical control of smooth scouringrush (Equisetum laevigatum) in dryland cropping systems in Pacific Northwest. Marija is currently working in WSU Weed Science program as Associate in Research for weed scientist Dr. Ian Burke.
