Hear From Our Students

Leather-making is an environmentally harmful process. If you told me I would make leather out of tea when I came to WSU, I would have thought, ‘no way.’ Seeing the different stages and ultimate outcome was mind-blowing to me. The apparel industry is the second largest polluter globally, and I want to be part of the move toward sustainability.

I’ve known since elementary school that I’ve wanted to work in fashion. My time as a designer here has set me up for what I have coming in the future. I grew tremendously as an individual by learning to solve any issues that I ran into.
