CAHNRS Scholarships
Support for Juniors and Seniors
Eligible students are awarded a $2,000 CAHNRS scholarship for both their junior and senior years, as long as eligibility requirements are met annually.
To qualify, students must:
- Have received the WSU University Achievement Award (UAA) during their freshman and sophomore years
- Be majoring in a CAHNRS program
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Complete the WSU General Scholarship Application each year
Apply for CAHNRS Scholarships
Incoming and Continuing Students
All CAHNRS scholarship applicants apply through the WSU General Scholarship Application.
- Priority deadline: January 31
- Award notifications: Mailed in early April
- Award period: Scholarships awarded in spring apply to the upcoming fall and spring academic year
Tips for a Strong Application
When completing your application, take time to carefully fill out sections related to:
- Your county within your state
- Career interests and long‑term goals
- Special circumstances or financial need not reflected in FAFSA or WASFA
- Personal experiences and challenges
- Areas related to agricultural, human, and natural resource sciences
These details help match you with scholarships that best fit your background and goals.
Outside Scholarships
In addition to CAHNRS scholarships, many organizations and companies offer scholarships through WSU Financial Aid. You can search for these opportunities on the Student Financial Services website.
