Bio

Elizabeth Perez is Director of Recruitment and Retention for undergraduate student programs at Washington State University’s College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS). Elizabeth earned her undergraduate degrees in English Literature and International Studies, as well as a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning, from the University of Utah. Elizabeth joins WSU CAHNRS with extensive experience in teaching, college access, recruitment, academic advising, student success programs, and leadership. Elizabeth enjoys working with the CAHNRS team to build and maintain solid pathways to college and career success, particularly for communities underrepresented in higher education. Elizabeth’s other loves include baked goods, Palouse sunsets, cafecito, and being a working mom.

Bio

Madison Escobar is a third-year student at Washington State University studying Animal Science on the Pre-Vet track. Madison is from Corvallis, Oregon, and came to Washington State as an out-of-state student. She has really benefitted from the strong cougar community WSU has to offer! Outside of the classroom, Madison enjoys working at her job in a local vet clinic, visiting the beautiful Oregon coast, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Bio

Aranza Arroyo-Mejia is a 3rd-year student at Washington State University pursuing a Major in Fruit and Vegetable Management with Minors in Horticulture and Crop Science. She is also a CAHNRS Ambassador and Vice President, along with being the President for MANRRS-WSU.

Bio

Carmen Chandler is a third-year business student at Washington State University double majoring in marketing and business management with a minor in business economics. Carmen is currently the President of the WSU Women’s Rugby Clun and has been active within the organization for three years. Carmen has two years of experience working as a certified veterinary assistant in the state of Texas. She is currently the Recruitment and Retention Social Media Assistant for the CAHNRS department.

Florencio Ramirez-Ramirez is a third-year student at Washington State University majoring in food science. Florencio is excited to be a part of the team as a Recruitment and Retention Assistant. In addition to this, Florencio is involved within CAHNRS as a CAHNRS Ambassador for food science. He also serves as the Treasurer for WSU-MANRRS on campus.

Bio

Shelby Smith is a second-year Apparel Design student at Washington State University. Shelby is the CAHNRS Ambassadors Public Relations Representative and is also the Executive Creative Director of LUXE Magazine. Shelby worked as a Replenishment Merchandiser for over a year and a half. Shelby moved to Pullman from Orange County, California, but has lived all over the country. Shelby enjoys iced matcha lattes, all things fashion, and spending time with her beloved cat, Tourmaline.
