Global Leadership and Beekeeping in Kenya
No Experience Required – Only Enthusiasm
No second language or entomology expertise is required. The program consists of a 2-credit spring course and a 3-credit summer course abroad, totaling 5 credits. Generously funded by Ken & Sue Christianson and various endowments through the Center for Transformational Learning & Leadership, the program covers most costs, including travel, food, and lodging. If selected, you will only pay for the Global Learning application fee, a Kenya visa and vaccinations required for entry, and WSU tuition.
Simple Application Process
The application is through the Global Learning application site, required for all study abroad programs. Once you begin the application, we will guide you through the process of enrolling in two credits of HD 487 in the spring and three credits of HD 487 in the summer. Click the Apply online button to start the application, or the Learn more button to the right to sign up for an information session.
