CAHNRS Transfer Promise

Welcome, Future CAHNRS Cougs!

Each year, Washington State University welcomes more than 1,300 transfer students to the Pullman campus. If you’ve attended another college or university and earned 27 semester credits or 40 quarter credits since graduating high school, you’re considered a transfer student at WSU.

The College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) partners with community colleges to provide a seamless transfer experience for students pursuing CAHNRS majors. Through the Transfer Promise, students receive dedicated support designed to make the transition to WSU smooth and successful.

Transfer Promise benefits include:

  • Virtual meetings and quick responses from a WSU CAHNRS advisor
  • Dedicated, exclusive advising throughout the transfer process
  • Early access to internships and networking opportunities
  • Connection with a current WSU CAHNRS student
  • Support every step of the way toward a smooth transfer

One of the most common questions transfer students ask is: Which of my community college classes will count at WSU? We’ve got you covered. Visit the WSU Transfer Center to explore course equivalencies—just have your course numbers handy from your transcript.

We also strongly encourage students to visit the WSU Pullman campus at any time to get a feel for campus life and plan ahead for a successful career at WSU. Learn more about making the most of your visit

The text "Are you ready to become a CAHNRS COUG?" and "Contact our friendly advisors" dances around them. At the bottom, "CAHNRS Transfer Promise: College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences" is written beneath the WSU cougar logo.
