All students are welcome to attend our College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) Spring 2024 Speed Networking Night on Monday, February 5th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in Ensminger Pavilion on the Pullman, WA campus. This is our only event of the year where students will have the opportunity to network with employers and share a meal with them!

What is Speed Networking?  Speed Networking (Business Speed Dating) is an extremely time-saving and effective way of making professional contacts. The purpose of speed networking is to encourage participants to make as many connections as possible. We will have round-robin sessions where CAHNRS students will rotate through employer-sponsored tables.

  • Meet with industry partners in their career field of interest
  • Build a professional network
  • Practice essential networking skills
  • Learn more about available internship and full-time job opportunities
  • Dress professionally
  • Bring along multiple copies of your resume and business card
  • Prepare a 30-second statement to pitch to potential employers

A social hour will continue after the Speed Networking portion to make additional connections. Dinner and refreshments will be served at this time. Please Register to ensure we have the needed food and refreshments to serve!

Day of Event Schedule

4:30-5:00 p.m.  Student Check-In

5:00 p.m. Speed Networking event begins, scholarship drawings throughout the evening  

6:30-7:00 p.m. Dinner served, students and employers eat together 

7:00 p.m. Official soft ending of event

7:00-7:30 p.m. Event Wrap up

To further prepare, plan to attend as many Career Expo Prep Events, as possible, offered through the WSU Academic Success and Career Center, as well as attend the WSU Career Expo on Tuesday, February 6. Additional CAHNRS events will be posted on our CAHNRS Jobs & Internships page.
